Wonder, Wander, Wondering

Painting pretty big, about 40″ tall and 28″ wide, hence the yardstick in the photo.  An old piece of plywood that needed some help.  Rigid wrap plaster on one side to shore it up and give it some texture.  Fabric and paper collage inside and around the being.  Blocky legs for a sturdy stance.  A large hand to hold onto?  Circular thinking one eyed…

Where do you go when you wander?

Well, my friend, since my maiden name is Wonders, I find this piece particularly compelling! My father comes to mind when you mention “strong.” Also love the hand clutched over his heart! Sweet!

The yardstick brings everything together! The is greater than the sum of the parts. Nice work!
