WIP: Hinged Random Word Journal Book

I started this a few weeks ago and it is slowly progressing. Magazine collage inspiration boards on recycled cereal boxes with sticky back canvas as the hinges. I liked the idea of random words and then carving my own stamps pulled me then became part of the piece, after a liberal dose of my favorite paint colors.  Here she sits waiting for the next piece of the puzzle to show up.

This is awesome! I never thought to put a journal together like this. I love it! I like it in every stage, even the beginning one looks super cool. I also love your garland hanging in the back. I have a thing for hanging paper. Thanks for the inspiration today!

Can’t wait to see where you are going with this Corrine! You always inspire me to loosen up a little bit……..not take myself quite so seriously………and thats a very good thing! Your little book reminds me of Maria at GreenEarthOriginals do you know her? She’s always doing swaps and such with little accordian books like this. I just LOVE your colors! You just keep giving me ideas! My ‘to do’ list is getting mighty long. 🙂 Hugs! deb

Yay! look at his that you’ve created. I love how you expand on your ideas and go down many paths with your techniques yet always seem to let the Core in Corrine shine thru.

Who needs expensive canvas or paper? Neat idea, and you always make me want to just get out my paints and PAINT!

I love that last image – the way you make layers and layers of marks and stamps and color and it doesn’t turn to mud and you can see hints of each of the layers. Often when I try this I end up with such a jumble, there’s nothing pretty about it. Yours looks like controlled, purposeful chaos – mine just looks chaotic! Anyway, I just love your colors and stamps and the concertina way of showing it all. Beautiful!

I love these new compositions and brilliant colors. We now have power once again but now we have to replace our home air conditioner…life goes on! My son-in-law is home from the hospital and hopefully will take the time needed to heal. I am moving back into my downtown but the changes are taking a tole…I had got into enjoying my solitude deep in the trees of the arboretum. I have an opening on Sunday with music in the All Seasons Garden so I am praying for a cool afternoon for children’s play! Imagine and Live in Peace, Mary Helen Fernandez Stewart
