Unpacking with a spirit guide

Ever since I returned from Lucky Star Art Camp I felt as if I was unpacking all that came in to my heart while getting ready to uproot and move my life.  Saturday we made the switcheroo and we are now over our heads in boxes and paper packing material.  Thank goodness for recycling. Today I made some serious headway in the studio, which looked pretty dismal this morning.

But I made lots of progress and most of the piles have been unpacked.  Notice big boy under the table, that’s his favorite spot to sleep.  Some easels will go on the walls but I hung my old Shed, Church, Crow intuitive painting to carry me through the day remembering that even now I can shed more of what I no longer need.  While at Lucky Star I did some real soul searching about what I want to be creating for myself and in the process of non-handed drawing this spirit fellow blasted his way through.  I was so struck by his powerful presence that I am going to create a new alter in the studio and include him there.  Other beings showed up during my time there too and I will be sharing them in the next few posts.

He was drawn non-handed with a black uniball pen on a mono-printed sheet of paper I had created while teaching.  This guy has alot to say and I am paying attention.

I know I will learn something from him. Shed, church, crow, fierce shaman.

I noticed big boy before I read about him. Your studio looks so peaceful now with all the blue. Love the art work on the wall and all the stuff in the corners and shelves. You are going to love it there once you are settled in. How did you make the drawing if not with your hand? Paintbrush in your mouth? Toes? I hope he leads you well.

A light went off when I read, “..about what I want to be creating for myself!” I think that is the key for all of us. For some reason, we seem to create what we think what others want, what others like, what others expect. Time to step back from that and begin to create what makes us happy. For me, it will be January 1 when I step back from Stampotique and begin to create what is in my heart. Join me, Corrine! Create more of what makes you happy!

What I create for me constantly changes, has all my life, back and forth, all different styles, I think my soul speaks in different mediums, but yours speaks in inner beauty! Love your new home, your new room, your pup’s sleep space, and your art of course! Hugs!

Good to see your new studio getting ready for more art.
I am fascinated by Mr. Blueman, he looks very wise and maybe a bit stern? He reminds me very much of someone I used to know.
It will be fascinating to see what comes next.
    Happy unpacking and happy Newhouse!
