Thunderheads and Mail

A most magnificent thunderhead
rolled across the pond a short time ago.
A deep growl, from the belly of the beast
sent my crew to hiding and on came the
canine CD to calm even the most timid
of hounds.

The sky had that extraordinary mix
of sun and charcoal which I always find
so awe inspiring and I was able to take
some quick shot before the rain.

The wind flung the leaves backward,
which was always the first sign of rain
according to my grandmother Mabel,
and I am sure many other grandmother’s
out there too. The sound of it rolled across
the landscape like a train on the rails.

It was ever so brief and moved
away just as swiftly as it had come.

Just a Note pal Lyle sent another
wonderful envelope in full Fall flourish.
Contained within were some wonderful
cartoons, an article on Timothy Leary
and some other goods for future collage.
Our swapping is ever so much fun.

Isn’t this side fab
with the mix of collage
elements going on here.

Holiday baking and making.

Timothy Leary and beer making.

Haiku with frog, or is
that just a little too
Timothy Leary?

Thanks to Lyle for making me laugh today
and always. xox Corrine

Sweet thunderstorm, I miss those too. We don't get so many here in the interior and when we do they are a different beast altogether.
This time of year we do tend to get those charcoal skies but the sun could be shining on the golden aspen leaves with the charcoal clouds as a backdrop, very striking!
Love the swap pics, Yours just went out in the mail today but I forgot to put the atc and postcard in. Just going to have to hand them to you.
