Thrifty Score and Some Pretty Cool Mail art

Saturday I went to check out a new thrift(to me anyway) called In A Blue Moon.  It was a dark and kind of crammed in space, but a couple of vendors had amazing paper ephemera at prices we don’t usually see around here.  All this came home with me for under $10, score!

Two huge packs of old envelopes with stamps – all except that bright yellow one from the 1920’s.

And more stamps from all over.

These two lovely ladies in their cabinet cards and some old Boston area advertising.

Also GREAT – did I say GREAT incoming mail art from Pamela Gerard and Steph Dodson.

Pamela’s sad beach girl as I have come to think of her.

Steph’s painted collage a la hanging feet.

All in all a good weekend.

What an excellent paper score – holy moly, it looks like a real treasure trove of goodies! I love postage stamps and have some from the early 50’s but not as early as the 20’s. I find that I’m often reluctant to use them because they’re so cool, so they sit in their little sorting envelopes for me to take out and enjoy every once in awhile 🙂 Love those 2 pieces of mail art – those are some beauties!

Love this stuff! Great score. After 5 1/2 years of marriage I discover my husband has a cool stamp collection. (amazing what you find when you pack) I hope to photograph it once we get settled in our new home. Hope you’re having a great week!
