Oh Corrine, the proces always takes me down a road where I feel , a wish to start creating right away, not to have to deside what to throw out, lol. I just filled 3 very big plastic sacks with things ,- which my husband, took to the local combustion station :-(( I so need to make room, and not
save everything I find wonderful or useful !!
I love your poem, and the book of collages, so many bits, saves to become wonderful collages !
Hope your weekend, gives time to a little outdoor life, too .

Your colourful collages look fun and could spark off more ideas, I can see.
My process? – I do a huge amount of thinking first and sometimes I do what I have thought and sometimes something completely different and sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn’t. And sometimes my brushes and paints have a life of their own and produce a nice surprise. That’s my process!

Ritual is very important, isn’t it. I like my old fleece tops or an old T shirt on. I create better in my raggy clothes. Something to sip on, maybe some music. Oh yes. Nice colorful pieces for your book. 🙂

That’s it Corinne, the wonderful process, when you get lost in something and forget about everything else and then get to enjoy whatever you’ve made, good soul feeding fun and I love all your bits and pieces all put together, such texture and colour, just what I love!

Rituals are very therapeutic. Your poem is wonderful, and your lovely pages in it are so beautiful and colorful.

    Happy Mother’s Day, too.

My rituals take me to the coffee pot, the Rhine or my work table, with breaks in between for reading! Hugs, Valerie

These collages are beautiful, I love the bright colours. I don’t think I have a ritual, maybe because I do so many different things. My process might be the same as Sheila’s 😉 One thing that always brings me in the mood to create though is putting on my favorite music and my painting shirt 🙂

i love your Poem… and talking about rituals: i´m waiting for my summer rituals soon to come – like the ant in the Story about looking ahead for next winter, i spend quite some time in the garden to spray-dye or brush lots of papers (Music Sheets, Braille, glass cleaning sheets, whatever Comes across). the grass is full of wet paper and it doesn´t mind if the wind turns them. it´s all about serendipity what will come out… and i´m VERY satisfied afterwards.
do i use them up? that is not a serious question, haha!
plan for this summer is to treat more fabric Backgrounds…

There is comfort in ritual and I find that same comfort in your poetry and art, my friend!

Those pages are beautiful — and I love sorting and sifting through my old papers….
