The Power of Intuitive Painting

Today, on this Full Pink Moon
day I would like to share the
painting from my retreat that
was most powerful to me.

It was the culmination of all the other
paintings rolled into one and seemed
to complete the journey of those five
days.  I did start another painting, but
it is probably not done and I will share
it at a later time.

I can’t even title this one in my
head, no matter, but it sprang
from a shamanic meditation
that we experienced through
drumming and all the feelings
expressed in this piece came
through that meditation.

At first things were flowing along
and the painting was in my head,
IN MY HEAD, which was not
so good because as I expressed the
idea through the brush it became
sicky, sappy, sweet and I got really
angry, which I did not expect al all.
I scraped through the anger
with a palette knife,
and got it out and
that brought me back
to the light which is where
I ended.
My goddess perhaps?

I would also like to share a few more shots taken
in and around Berkeley.  It was a fun day and the campus
of UC Berkeley was really beautiful and green and the buildings

Another shot from under
the olive tree at the  art museum.

A sculpture outside
the art museum I found to
be quite powerful.

And some shots of Lake Merritt in
Oakland.  A salt water lake that
sits in the middle of the city with
walk/jog trails, many sea birds
and is ringed with lights at night.

The fountain at the top of
the lake.

The pavilion behind the
fountain in the above shot.

And the marvelous twisted
roots that ring the columns.

Hope you enjoyed.

Thanks for the tour…Beautiful stuff to see there in Cali. Hope to get there one day.

Love your intuitive painting…doesn't matter too much what the end results are. I love the fact that you went with the emotioons that came up and got their expressed. Cool stuff in a safe environment.
    Happy Wednesday, Seeker Chick.

    What a lovely photographic tour!
Love your goddess and they way she came into life. I'm sure the frustrating process is part of why she is so great; nothing sweet or sappy in sight!

I love your painting! The colors are great. Bright, dark…perfect mix.
If you are in Berkeley again let me know. I love it there…was born in the bay area and hung out a bit in Berkeley in the 70's….oh yes I did.
What a bit of life that was!

I am just getting around to catching up online and my goddess! First of all, this workshop is my Dream and so I am extra exciting to see and read about your experience.

I am totally blown away by your work here … such power, presence and force. Really inspiring … it seems like an energy is building, a shift is occurring with all you amazing women doing this work and opening a window for others to peer through … I want to see more!

I would love to know more details about the workshop (did you find housing or was there help in making those arrangements?) Oh, yes, one day I will have to travel there and experience it for myself.

Meanwhile, I am grateful to be able to witness your experience. oh yes, the goddess is definitely waking up!
