Studio Doings

Stitching mostly.  The new doll is coming along, Rosie the three eared cat.  I’ve been adding to her body with applique and auditioning her minty green nose.  She will evolve as she is ready, but the progress is slow and that suits Rosie just fine.

My wonderful Superhero up-cycled an old door and various pieces of wood from the barn to make a layout table for my sewing space.  I covered the top with quilted ironing board fabric and he put it all on casters so I can move it around at will.  I LOVE this so much and it makes everything so much easier to accomplish.  It’s counter height because I work standing up, but I can pull a counter stool over to it if I choose to sit.

Working on some other projects, of course, trying out some new ideas…

Works in progress and ruminating and last but not least, a couple of wonderful vintage finds.  Ribbons and a broach all sparkly goodness.

Have a colorful day.  Hope to get around to all of you I’ve been neglecting.

Oh that does look like a cosy corner and all so organised with all your boxes of buttons and fabric, it looks like you’re really set and ready to play, have lots of fun!

Rosie has cornered the most glorious fabrics, especially the green flower one. Such a sweet little nose, I wonder if she will be allowed to keep it.
Superhero is a treasure, up-cycyling and using old wood is just the thing.

You have a barn? That is so cool. I’d love to have a barn. Your movable table is great too. It makes things so much easier when you have a lot of space to spread things out.

I have had fun catching up with you and your creativity dear Corrine!
I spy some yummy Talenti jars…they really come in handy don’t they.
Having things in see through containers always works best for me.
In addition to all of your organized goodness (Yay to your Mr!) I am really drawn to your circle photos. What a nice presentation they make.
Makes me think of the quote that goes something like…everything wants to be a circle?

Cool stuff! the table looks fabulous! I like to stand when I work also. Love the shot of the jars of stuff. I recognize a Mrs. Renfro’s green salsa jar, we love Mrs. Renfro’s! What a great space you have.

I was glad to read I’m not the only person who works standing up. Your new work space is simply incredible. And I love how organized you are with your lovely fabrics. That ribbon is amazing, and so is that old broach. I used to have an old broach very similar to that. I believe it had been my Grandmother’s, but it is gone now when my jewelry box was taken by a “friend” several years ago.

A wonderful add to your room Corrine, and GREAT you can move it around,I like that,…only there would not be place to move anything around here, lol..too much on my floor !!
Your ..missekat.. cat Rosie looks so bright, and sweet with her green nose and the fabrics you patchworked together.
I also need more see through containers, mine are often sweet boxes, in pink, 🙂 but I do not know what is inside !!!

Wow! Love your table, Corrine! And wheels! Kudos to your private Super Hero! I have trouble working on more than one project at a time–apparently you DO NOT! hehe
