StencilGirl Blog Hop — Cecelia Swatton –Bedazzled

Happy Friday everyone.  Today we are playing with the wonderful stencils from Cecelia Swatton. I am looking forward to hopping around to see what everyone creates just as much as you.  I find it fascinating to see all the directions we can take these stencils in and enjoy the true voices of the StencilGirl gang.  My project is an altered and bedazzled cigar box.  I am using Cecelia’s Trivet B Stencil as the basis for my design.

I used the stencil with gold metallic paint to match the gold around the box and affixed it to the top.

For the borders I used pages from an old book, and the corners were finished with stamp shapes cut out of scrapbook paper.

I wanted the sides to match, but never exactly, so each side got a slightly different treatment

Finally some bedazzling in the form of Prima Flowers and jewels corner stones.

Makes a great, simple, re-purposed jewelry box….now if I could only get some extra bijoux somewhere, hey honey, are you around?

Please be sure to visit everyone on the hop for a chance to win a stencil and of course to see the fab projects being made by these oh so talented artists.
