Squirrel Mind

I woke up at 3:30 am with the mind racing
like a squirrel. Work-surface full and messy
storage closet even messier.

Time to purge and re-arrange, the
studio and the mind.

I have been getting some collages ready
for a month long exhibition in a local town
library,(thanks to lovely friend Eileen),
and I was feeling totally overwhelmed.

Also worried about this girl here…
Beloved Blossom, faithful companion
and queen of the canine tribe who
has been suffering from kidney
disease for a year and a half.

She is stubborn and wild,
former hunter of squirrel
and chipmunk, regal lady
of the sofa.

She is hanging in there by sheer
will. I love each moment with her.

I take today’s inspiration from
a yoga card by Leigh Standley
at www.curleygirldesign.com
which says…

“Faith is believing that one of
two things will happen. That
there will be something solid for
you two stand on – or that you
will be taught to fly.”

Fly on all.

Feeling a lot of that squirrely mind myself these days. A PSS ? Post Squam Syndrome ? Not sure but it feels squirrely and yet full of wonderful potential and energy at the same time for me.
Congrats on the exhibition! That sounds like a great thing. Keep on using those wing, lovely lady !

Sending good thoughts to sweet Blossom. I bet she is hanging on because of her unconditional love for you. (you know how dogs are!)
Congrats on your upcoming exhibit! Can't wait to see pictures!
