Special Project

Kind of a special project happening here at our house.  Meet Roxie…

Our new lab mix. She is 4 month’s old and weighs in at about 19 lbs.  She arrived last week from a shelter in Arkansas and we picked her up at Mary’s Dogs Rescue in NH on Tuesday night.

She’s getting along with everyone in short order and has already dug herself a hole under the deck stairs.  Very important project for a dog, a good dirt hole to cool off in after wild play.

Chilling out on the day bed with her siblings.  She’s the perfect addition to fill the hole in our hearts left by the passing of Rusty.  Welcome home Roxie.

How cute! We lost our 5 y.o. red Dobbie this past summer.
I still have not replaced that hole in my heart.

This is absolutely FANtabulous. Yesterday was Remember Me Thursday, where we were asked to share a photo of our pets. It also called attention to the fact many pets die in shelters waiting for their forever home. I see one less happy pet has found a forever home with you. Glad to meet you, Roxie!

I’m not sure that next to last sentence made sense to anyone but me. I meant to say one very happy pet, not one less pet. Guess I need more coffee, since today is International Coffee Day!

How exciting. She’s a cutie! Yup, a dog needs a dirt hole. Maddie s the queen of a dirt hole. Glad she’s found a good new home with a whole pack to play with. 🙂 Hugs-Erika

I think Roxie might keep you busy, she looks charming and full of life.
I hope she leaves you some time for art-making. Nice that you got her from a shelter, and how very lucky for her.
