Some Journal Pages from the Journey through the Tactile Notebook

We worked in the journal every day.  A meditation in a group and a free write in the journal following. Drawing lines of energy through the body, going on a wander walk, stitching in a crow feather, some chicken colors and collage of wind.  Creating a meditation of the new day in our books as if it were our front stoop.  All these activities led further into the inner self, the inner light feeding creativity. Group practice led to the individual acts of creating.  Stitching on your journal cover, some lace onto a hand made dress(amazing as I watched), onthe embroidery hoop, on a doll, on a burlap page in the book.  We all busied hands in further acts of meditation through out the week. Some pages of my own to share…

Trying to play catch up here. Sorry I’m so late visiting. This is most inspiring, even if I don’t sew by hand. It certainly gives me the idea for ways to incorporate fabric in my work, too. I adore these beautiful pieces you shared from your tactile notebook. I want to reach out and touch them.

What an experience! Free to see, free to hear, free to choose and, most of all, free to create! Love that soft blue heart and the map of your walking tour.
