She had a sunny disposition but she kept her soul words hidden

She had a sunny disposition but she kept her soul words hidden —

She had a sunny dispositionRemember this painting below, the first one top left in the collage.  I disliked it intensely the more I looked at it, so…..time for a redo.  If you follow along in the collage you will see the progression to what is above.  The words came to me as soon as the figure appear behind the paint and I began to draw.  I painted on her for several hours yesterday and reached the oh my gosh I hate this thing stage, will this painting ever be done or is it destined for the trash and promptly grabbed a sanding block and took her right back to almost nothing.  At that point I was really exhausted from moving so much energy through her that I quit.

This morning she began to talk to me again and the end result a few hours later is what you see.  She’s ready to move out into the world now.  Hope you enjoy the process collage.

I love seeing the progression of this, and knowing that you twice disliked this piece before getting to this place of beauty.

Isn’t it wonderful how a piece can speak to you? And you know right away when it’s right. Just like this gal and her sunny disposition!!

Fascinating progression! I love her. She’s quite wonderful. By that expression, she has her soul words hidden in the right place.

Somehow hit post comment before I was done…such magical layering – that could only build up with all the love you put into this!

It is really great to see the process and I love how she turned out. What is so neat to me though, is that you could probably stop on every single one of those stages and call it done. But I know it’s only done when your heart says it is. xo

“She had a sunny disposition but she kept her soul words hidden.” If that’s not me, I don’t know what is! I love that your sweet bit of sunshine evolved into the ray of sunshine that she is! I am glad that you did not give up. You may have knocked her down a time or two with a bit of sanding, but she managed to engage you until you both were done! Love it, Corrine, truly!

Thanks so much for sharing your progression – somehow it’s always comforting to know others successfully struggle through the “I hate this” phase …. it gives me hope. You and your layers….always such a treat to look deeply and see how many layers and layers you build up.

Simply amazing Corrine! It’s amazing what a good night’s sleep can do when we lose our way with
our art inspiration and then suddenly our energy becomes reignited.
Thanks for sharing your process here revealing her inner self.

WOW! What a transformation! I love her and her words. The circle on her chest, to me, is the greatest translation of your words 🙂
