Running in Circles

I’ve been away from the blog world for almost two weeks.  Been running in circles while developing some new classes for 9-13 years olds for the gallery and town.  Making samples, getting ready for a workshop – Art-Is-You, where I get to see some long lost friends.  Face time is just not the same as a big bear hug.

Art in the Park came and went, and I was fortunate to sell some art and a one of a kind doll,  and meet some really nice folks. It was a most beautiful day, low 70’s and sunny, an almost perfect late summer day. img_8685.jpg

Gluten Free Glenda, the doll with the button eyes and button mouth went off with a woman who’s niece has celiac and she thought Glenda might cheer her up.

This painting also went home with someone too.  Which made me most happy.  As well as another.  I took not one photo of the booth, my display or anything.  What was I thinking? But the show was active and fun and chatty and good.

Now I’m finishing up my trades, packing my supplies for three days of pure relaxation and cameraderie with the likes of Michael Demeng, Seth Apter and my good friend Carolyn Dube. Metal bits, old books, and lots of bright paints.  I can’t wait.  I promise to take some photos next weekend and share them with all of you.  Now, to finish those trades and make some visits round and about, see, still running in circles…

Glad you had a good day at art in the park. It sounds like fun, and wish I could have come by. I was thinking of you that day, and it was a beautiful one. We have been good, got the boats put away and mostly picked up outside once this surgery actually happens. Anyhow, loving the dolls. And selling a painting is really cool. 🙂 Hugs-Erika

So delighted that your Art in the Park was a joyous success. How awesome. That’s wonderful news, and some people now have happy art made by you, too.

Have fun next weekend, as I know you will have fun with those three artists. It’s wonderful to spend time with like minded artists, isn’t it?

Is Gluten Free Glenda stuffed with non-gluten hay? She look quite comforting.
I like her friend on the left, did she come home with you?
The painting looks terrific, lucky person who went home with it.
I can hardly believe you are going to workshops with these three people, what an adventure.
    Have a great time.
