I’ve been away from the blog world for almost two weeks. Been running in circles while developing some new classes for 9-13 years olds for the gallery and town. Making samples, getting ready for a workshop – Art-Is-You, where I get to see some long lost friends. Face time is just not the same as a big bear hug.
Art in the Park came and went, and I was fortunate to sell some art and a one of a kind doll, and meet some really nice folks. It was a most beautiful day, low 70’s and sunny, an almost perfect late summer day.
Gluten Free Glenda, the doll with the button eyes and button mouth went off with a woman who’s niece has celiac and she thought Glenda might cheer her up.
This painting also went home with someone too. Which made me most happy. As well as another. I took not one photo of the booth, my display or anything. What was I thinking? But the show was active and fun and chatty and good.
Now I’m finishing up my trades, packing my supplies for three days of pure relaxation and cameraderie with the likes of Michael Demeng, Seth Apter and my good friend Carolyn Dube. Metal bits, old books, and lots of bright paints. I can’t wait. I promise to take some photos next weekend and share them with all of you. Now, to finish those trades and make some visits round and about, see, still running in circles…
