Remnant Man

The studio was getting pretty messy, filled with
lots of recycled paper towel scraps, dryer sheets,
cereal boxes and painted scraps.  Today seemed
like another good day to play with paint and
use up what was there.

In the process a little remnant man
mouse like in countenance came along
to help me clean up.

Hot, hot colors on this dry day, in
preparation for the steamy weather to come…

I have been reading
Carla Sonheim’s new book
“Drawing Lab” and trying to
draw what I see. I like the idea of
mythical creatures, sort of spirit guides
to help us along on the journey.

This fellow seems quite benign and shy,
but on the verge of something big to say.

Birthday dinner for David was yum.  We grilled
wild salmon with garlic green beans, potato salad
corn on the cob and huge cupcakes from the
Sweet Tooth bakery in Boston.  My husband is
a chocolate, chocolate, chocolate guy.  Chocolate
truffle, chocolate ganache, and chocolate cake.
He said he loved it, but ate too much and woke up
with a caffeine buzz headache this morning.
I think he just hit too many golf balls at the driving
range with my son!

Happy Friday….

Wow, you've gone a beautifully sharp green! I am remiss, just catching up now with your fab collages & news. Hope you're better, give yourself permission to enjoy your family & recover.

I just took a photo of my burdock today! Hadn't looked it up yet even tho it snuck into my border a couple of years ago, great leaves for compost when they get too big but this year will be the first time flowering! By the size of yours methinks I should move it!
