Red Clouds at the Temple Gate

Sewing in the sun this morning
I started my first piece in the
Mrs. Moen Tablecloth Challenge.
This batik fabric I adore with it’s
blush pink and spring green and orange,
called out to me to use with the red and white
linen cloth in an abstract way, so I did.

The combination of these colors led
to the journal painting/collage and
all I could imagine  was red clouds
scudding across the sky above the
garden to a temple. This became
my interpretation of Red Clouds
at the Temple Gate.

One thing feeds off the other.
Some stitching this morning and some painting tonight
and a glorious day sucking the sun into my veins while I raked.
Heating the blood for some yoga.

As I've said before I can hardly keep up with you! The hot orange is my fave of the last few.

My comments button seems to be workingnow….how long for who knows…? Thanks again for the heads up 🙂

The sun is trying to shine – garden, studio, garden, studio….?

Isn't it amazing how you start out on one idea and get another idea and another..
Love your work of yesterday; I took the whole day off and spent it in company with husband. That's a rare thing at our house…
