Painting — Moving To Red

Moving To Red — a new mixed media work.  This painting sat and sat and sat and clammed up.  No talking, no musing, no throwing mud.  I was tempted to paint right over and begin again but this morning it was like lightening shot out from it and it woke itself up.  The work moved rapidly today and the painting finished itself…IMG_1916 IMG_1918 IMG_1920 IMG_1922

The painting is in my etsy shop.  Thanks for looking.

This is full of texture with a capital T, Corrie! At first, I thought your image was “faceless,” but then I found the facial features. This may just be the “Man in the Moon,” where everyone sees the features differently, but, that’s ok, ’cause we can all enjoy it!

Oh; I love this! The textures and patterns play, together, so beautifully! WOW!

Didn’t get much snow but got some ice. Yesterday was ridiculously frigid with the wind. I have to admit the tree branches looked beautiful with the ice crystals on them. There is beauty in everything really.

This weekend going to be in 40’s! That is quite welcomed!

Hope all is well there…….Love, M xo

It looks like you were in quite a painting-frenzy when you finished it. Love all the wild scratches and textures.

I can see the face but it also reminds me of a globe, “the whole world in just one face” so to speak. Love it!

All that scribbly goodness – your style is becoming more settled and yet keeping its freedom of movement. So great!
