No Voice But A Helper Emerges

I hate, hate, hate being sick,
mostly because I know it’s my body’s
way of telling me to rest.  I don’t really
travel well, too much stress getting everything
ready before hand and too much stress getting
back to normal after a trip, so I get sick.

Today, I have no voice, which is okay,
but I have the cough and congestion to
go with it.  But I feel better, so I grabbed
an old background collage from the stash
that I hated and a helper emerged…

Along with some flowers and friends.  I feel better already.

I wonder if anyone has studied the brain waves of someone
when they paint?  What would emerge?

I've remarked several times that I sometimes reach a Zen-like state when I get engrossed in an art project. I'm totally unaware of time passing, and I'm not thinking about anything else except what I am doing. I would guess that the brain waves are smooth and calm where mine must usually be frazzled. Glad you're feeling better. Hope you get over this bug soon!

I love this creature, Corrine. She looks like powerful steady wise being.
Art-making brainwaves would be fascinating to see – and those long lined papers with wave patterns would make great collage materials…;)
    Feel better, my Friend.

Hope you are feeling better soon. It's not the time of year to be sick. Germs be gone! I think someone has probably studied painter's brain waves and maybe the result could be a painting in itself. I wonder if it is straight or all over the place? Hmmm

I love this guy and his uneven eyes!
I just saw a TVshow where they did research on different people's, including Sting's, brain while they were listening to music. I imagine creating art would give a simililar frantic brain action in the creative minds. While I often get into a flow zone while being creative, there's a lot of things going on up there…

Isn't it wonderful when those helpers appear to help us when our own voices falter? Beautiful.
Wishing you a smooth recovery, and restful healing…
