Moving the Mail

Some really swell trips to the Post Office this week.  Incoming from friends old and new.

From dear friend Lyle sent me this great envelope using her huge collection of stamps she carves all the time. Aren’t those chickadees great? Inside were book pages from a swap we did a year ago that we decided needed another go round.  I will share those later.

Another inventive trashpo envelope from Terrie who like me recently joined IUOMA. Terrie makes wonderful paintings and collage and is open to trying just about anything, give her a visit. She enclosed some really cute dog themed cards for me.

Speaking of IUOMA, I received this wonderful envelope and mixed media post card from Roberto.  Love the texture of his mixed media piece enclosed.

And a couple of outgoing from me…

Enjoy your Friday, the weather here is glorious and it’s making me sing.

Cool mail art and evern cooler (or hotter) background! I saw one of your cards posted at Diane’s blog Craftypod a while ago.
I have just signed up for my first swap ever, an ATC swap. The size sounds doable. Have you made ATCs?

Your blog is the happiest place on the net! Love all that mail art and am extremely jealous…ha! I need to make time to do some of that again, but have been too busy making earrings!! Thanks for the kind words. I adore earrings myself, they are to me like lipstick is to other woman, can’t go out without a pair on…ever!
Happy weekend, even though I am working!

I love it when people make pretty pretty envelopes and packages. I am NOT as energetic and often fall short of that, but I am thinking of making lots of envies ahead of time in different sizes so I can just grab one instead of thinking I’ll take the time AFTER making what’s inside them.

I figured you’d be interested in that, since everything is about me.

What fun. Especially love the Peacock one and the strings of yellow one. Yellow is so uplifting, don’t you think? (unless it’s chicken yellow growing on a beef steak…)

    Happy weekend.
