More Fermented Madness in the Frigid Wind

De-stash, Create, Play
Words we should live by every day.

The altered bottle bug has captured me
and I have done four more Kombucha
bottles.  Two are off and away to friends
and I have taken some pics of the last two.

I tried just plain beeswax on one, which I
really like for it’s warm golden properties.

I think I will hold on to this
one and see how well the
plain beeswax holds up.

The other was wrapped in twine
for a different look.  The Prima
flowers really make the tops I think.

I am using them as gifts, but without the
wax tops there is no reason they couldn’t be
used to store things.  I will try some and show
you all when they are complete.

The temps were 15F/-9C with a strong
wind chill making it feel like 1F/-17C.
A perfect day to stay in and do a little
more recycled Christmas wrapping…

Real Simple magazine,
which I picked up to read
on the plane last month provided
some great images for wrapping
and then can easily be recycled
when the holiday is over.

Several sheets of gift guides
created “wrapping paper” in and
of itself.

Two sides of a white
shopping bag I had been
saving in my stash, some more
Real Simple images and some cutouts.

Snazzy gift bag, which I can re-use for
next year with new embellishments.

And finally, of course, the Santa sack
I made long, some 20 years ago still doing
duty to hide some precious gifties for the
grand-doggies this year.

May the golden star guide you with it’s light.
