Mood Monday — Even Though She Looks Good Now

Evn though she looks good now

Even though she looks good now, she had a checkered past.  A bit of tongue in cheek for this Mood Monday.  I had to do something a bit silly with this vintage girl, she is just too darn perfect, so I began imaging her with a checkered past.  This journal page already had it’s window opening in place, so I placed her inside the window with some collage, used the mini checkers stencil by Mary Beth Shaw and checkered the shutters and randomly around the page and colored them in with gelli pens for a bit of shine….used various letters from a whole bunch of sheets of stick on letters and created her saying.

Even though you look good now……do you have a checkered past? Don’t we all.  But I gotta say, I was NEVER as perfect as this gal…..clutching that diploma with perfectly coifed  beribboned hair….no sirree and thank goodness.

StencilGirl Talk is having a week of posts in conjunction with new Xyron products .  Mine will be up tomorrow along with Janet Joehlin, there will be new posts every day, check them out, mine’s all about recycling, see it tomorrow.

She really DOES look perfect. I wonder what her secret is that she’s hiding from us!

I can’t help it, Orange gets me every time! This poor girl can’t help it either, she is so innocent and young, no time to have had a checkered past. Give her a few years, ha ha. Great page.
Hope you are having a wonderfully fantastic time!

This is a great post. Perfect? Who and what is perfect? Checkered past – oh yeah!!! Now; that I look back at it, if I didn’t have a checkered past, things would sure be boring.

I love your expressive art! xxoo

You – a checkered past? Now there must be some more tales to tell! What fun to give her such a story!

This is just so *me*, Corrine! It’s as if you knew I had stole a bike, defaced school property and started my house on fire playing with matches! Who knew! Really? I love this one!
