Last Night it was All About the Yellow

Shortly before sunset last night
my world turned yellow and
I thought I would give you
a little tour…

The miniature jonquils
in my center garden.

The larger daffodils, whose bulbs
were moved by the chipmunks
to the center of the walk down
by the pond.

The evening sun cascading
across the sloping hillside with a
view to my neighbor’s house.

The sun glinting off my neighbor’s dock and the tranquil pond.
And finally…

the sun’s fire through
my neighbor’s window.

Call Me Mellow Yellow, that’s right!
Yellow security to keep the heat coming.
