Keeper of the Stories – 52 Projects #38

All last week, watching the horror of Hurricane Harvey, checking in with friends from Texas, making sure they were all safe; I stitched.  I stitched a meditation, and intention for those friends to be safe from harm.  So many were not and will take a long time rebuilding home and lives.  So many good people stepped up to help, and are still helping.  1,500 hundred miles away all we could do was donate and set people in our thoughts and prayers.  Out of this week came the Keeper of the Stories.  Images of people walking away with a handful of their lives, but their stories still intact, however tragic and new ones to be made.

Corrine, it is so tragic for so many people , we see the terrible pictures from Texas on TV and can`t even begin to really understand how very awful it must have been seeing ones belongings and home get filled with masses of water. I feel so very , very sad , for everyone , now fighting ,to get their lives back.
I love your keeper of the stories, yes the stories remain, and hopefully new happy ones will soon, be kept in their hearts.

This is truly a wonderful way to honor those who have been displaced by Harvey. Like you, all I can do is send money through the Red Cross. But you have also paid a great tribute, but in actions and words. It’s a beautiful healing doll and sewn with love for those who are in pain because of Harvey.

Looks like there is more destruction on the way, too.

Nice stitching. I hope we don’t have to watch similar devastation in Florida from irma. Way too much weather in too short a time. Take care and I hope all is well with you. School is already back in full swing for me. Hugs-Erika

I’m so sorry for everyone who is affected by Harvey. So many lost pretty much everything. It’s so sad to see all the flooded areas. It will take long before life for these people will get back to normal. Your keeper of the stories is lovely and meaningful.
