Imagination, Exploration and Play

A weekend of this and that, imagining some ideas for classes and creations, exploring some new products and pure play.

post cards with many layers, paint, stamping, colored pencil, china black and this new product I picked up Dylusions Inky Spray, love it…..

Rich full colors and cool names like squeezed orange, vibrant turquoise, fresh lime and bubblegum pink. I sprayed them on the post cards above then used other background papers to soak up the extra…here and here and here…

Oh yeah and this cute teacup stamp added some fun black detail and this chicken wire stamp added some texture…

These will be great both for mail art and journal pages.

Last but never least look at these dots, and linear dots, washi love!!!!

What kind of play did you do this weekend?

Lush color loving! Your new sprays sound similar to the spray Tsukineko inks that I’ve tried. They are so fun and random. Love how your little gems turned out.

There’s a Podcast called Scrap Time. I’m not sure if you’ve ever watched it but they demonstrate all kinds of new products. Many of them are geared for scrapbookers, which I’m not, but the products transfer to lots of other art.

Happy Earth Day. It’s raining here today. xo

Love the results of your playtime. I’ve read about the dylusions on wyoww travels but haven’t found them in any of my usual stores. I love the whole squirty, spritzy thing though. And your washi tape – FAB-U-LOUS! Love the dotty stuff goin’ on.

Wish I lived close enough to take advantage of your studio time and classes. sigh.

Love, love all the bright colours with the black stamps and circles!! I have been playing a little with some fabric scraps, acrylic fibre and aluminum foil and my newly tuned-up sewing machine between grandson time and babysitting duties. All good. Tonight I’m crashing ln the couch though;)

Hi Corrine, I love all these delicious colours.

I haven’t used that type of spray but I have seen something similar in the shops.

This weekend has seen me doing some “real” embroidery as well as experimenting with ink pads and rub’n’buff on another of my book covers. So far so slow.

I’ve been making my own sprays to save money but those delusionals look pretty great. It is fun, isn’t it! Hot pink and orange are so brilliant together!

I would love to have paint sprays…I paint in my dining room though. One of these days I will have a studio (I hope and dream) and I can make all kinds of pretty messes like yours. : )

This weekend I worked on a portrait painting from Gritty Janes on line work shop. Very fun!
