A week without a glue stick
no paper, no art supplies and
my brain befuddled with gobs
of new information to process.

Standing in glamorous furniture showrooms,
sitting in meetings
watching the designers in the latest fashions
previewing all of it, looking glazed over
and confused, tired and bemused.
Don’t get me wrong, it is exciting and new.
Lots of green innovation like the showroom above
that it totally green, leed certified clean with furniture that can be

shrouded in mist
reflecting the sky, me
you and all those nearby
watching the buildings wrap

A little trimming
folding and some tape
and of course, collage
I missed you all and have
so much to catch up on with
what you have been doing.
More on Chicagoland tomorrow.
