Gray Day Orange Red Leads the Way

Rain, gray yuck. But a fantastic
day to recoup and cheer myself up.

Orange red is good for the head.

I made sure to fill all the bird feeders yesterday and
the goldfinches in their brilliant yellow plumage showed
their faces today.  No more dull olive winter garb, getting
ready for Easter bonnets and fancy duds.

Speaking of Easter, saw this dessert in BH&G magazine.

Doesn’t this just shout Spring, and with a lime/ pineapple
curd in a meringue crust, yum, but plan on a long walk
after you eat it.

Some more hand stitching on the Mrs Moen tablecloth
challenge, first piece one from this tablecloth…more red, more
orange, ah, maybe there is a theme going on here.

Sun, heat, Spring.

I love the colors! We have drab rain here, too.

Excellent I love that phrase…….orange and red good for the head …I wonder if that is why a lot of my work is on the warm side of the colour palette…'s obviously an antidote to the pressures of teaching ……Lorna x
