Going postal

I haven’t made mail art in ages. Too long really. I’m doing a freebie event at the gallery about mail art. A drop in make and take so I dug out my collage supplies and put a pile of samples together which I will mail out after the drop in takes place. Playful random collage is always a creativity opener for me so it was a positive experience.

Do you have a favorite way to begin?

Security envelopes are always great for their patterns. The one top left is quite wonderful.

Still have a good stamp stash. Like tucking those in.

Monkey radio. Why not? Make more sense than most of what’s broadcast these days. Might be a laugh too!

Colors from the work desk.

This and that lettering and crayon over masking tape.

Fun on a rainy day. Journaling later. Which I also have been neglecting.  Ah Summer’s lazy days.

How I wish I lived closer. I’d be there to join your make and take. I love security envelopes, but I’ve never seen those two on top. Lucky you! I hope this goes well, because you look like you are prepared.

Looks like you had a little change of pace from those wonderful dolls. And it looks like fun. I haven’t done mail art in ages either. Think it was a fad that slightly faded away and needs to come back. Did you survive that brutal heat? man, it was bad. Hope all is well and retirement for David is just about here? Yes? Hugs-Erika
