Full Moon Views

This morning just before dawn,
the moon glowed golden orange
as the sky moved thin clouds pink
and blue across the land.

While coyotes howled their
echoed voices crossed the pond
and the moon gave them light
to finish the last of their night
hunting with ease.

Mesmerizing orb of light
on the frost laden trees
as the rain turned to snow
and coated everything in
this winter world.

Through my window
near orange embers stove
heating me, I took one
last look at this sight
this moment in time,
as the moon slipped behind
a pink hued cloud to
light the other side of the

Daylight comes on frozen feet.
