Friday Affirmations — Laugh

Laugh with shining white teeth, strip your feet of shoes and go barefoot in the sand, let your hair fling in the wind and taste the salt spray on your tongue.  Notice light, notice life.

I can’t believe I am here early for once. And what a great time, since this old book cover makes the perfect wall hanging. Lovely piece any artist would be proud of. What a super way to recycle!!

very cool use of a book cover. It wasn’t immediately identifiable as a book to me, which makes it even cooler. Makes you really lean in and question and ponder.

Love this, Corrine. It is only recently that I have begun to see book covers as substrates! We have all used book text in our art, so, why not the cover?! This one turned out great! Love your creative use of the beads, too! And, yes, laughter is the best medicine for what ails yah!

What a wonderful idea to use the printed pages of old books as words on and under the art, and to use the empty covers for more expressions. I love the strands of string and the map piece. I am thinking I would love to add some type of funky holders to this so I could hang necklaces from it and then on the wall! Thank you for your comment on my blog.
