Friday Affirmations — Admit One

Admit One – notice your life

I got a package in the mail from my friend Sharon Borsavage whose work at Livewire Jewelry I love.  In it she sent me a tiny thank you not with a ticket attached.  Admit one…..well that ticket prompted this whole post.  I was looking at it and thinking what can I write about today and it became the impetus for this affirmation.  Admit one – notice your life.  A ticket to life, my life, or in your case, your life…noticing our lives.  Being extra, super, special present to the lives we have every moment of the day.

Admit oneTwo simple words to live by – admit one…..

Notice your life – what do you see?  Do you like what you see?  Do you see all the layers of you there are?  And in this noticing where are you going?  What is here right now that you need to pay attention to, dream about, act on, walk in the woods with, sigh about, laugh, cry, ruminate……

Admit it, we often skip those questions.  I know I do.

So today, I admit one, just me, to see what I can notice right here, right now.

That’s very thought provoking Corrine! Thanks for the reminder that today is a gift and we choose to either open it with joy or not; “being present” allows the joy to flow within us.

What a “thought full” gift your were given, Corrine, and, now, you have passed it on to us! It is important to know whence we came, to ponder where we will go, but, perhaps even more importantly, to seize this day! Granted, I have been admitted to this day, but it is up to me to take advantage of it. Thanks for this timely reminder, my friend!

The older I get, the more comfortable I am with whom I am. That’s not to say I’m perfect, because I know I’m not. However, I now avoid the pretentiousness of my youth. Blessings, my friend!

Yes we do Corrine, far too often we skate over the dayes, weeks and our lives,- without giwing us time to reflect and think!! Thank you for your thoughts given on, to us!! and to Sharon`s ticket making you reflect over those importent things.
    Hugs,Dorthe

What a thought provoking post sweetie! Lol I am very guilty of getting stuck in ‘mum’ mode and being so focused on looking after my tiddlies that I totally forget about the world around me, that I am ‘Dawn’ as well as ‘mum’, an individual. Art helps soooooooo much, makes me slow down, breathe, assess, process and appreciate, I would be lost without it!!
    Huge hugs x x x x

We had a guest preacher and he said we all have an expiration date, we just don’t know what it is! I feel that what you are saying is just as profound. Good on you, I appreciate the reminder. Blessings, Janet PPF

  26. ilona August 11, 2013 at 7:14 am #

What about admitting one into your life? That would mean the same somehow, as it would mean for me to open up myself and allow someone else to see what I am/who I am! Thank you for this thought provoking post today!
    Happy PPF
