Flat Martha

Flat Martha is sooooo two dimensional. She just lays around all day long.

She’s read all her books, watched all her TV shows, drunk 12 cups of tea and darned some socks. Flat Martha has no ambition to move off the comfort of her sofa, so she lays there. She is bored, bored, bored.

It doesn’t help that she is flat and can only move by twisting from side to side. Flat Martha doesn’t care, she is bored, bored bored.

I think I was channeling Martha this afternoon…I didn’t want to move from the warm sofa at all!

I think I missed Trina Buttonhead, but I love Flat Martha. I don’t think she’s as flat as my Wendy, though. She’s a real cutie, too. Bored, maybe, but not boring.

Flat Martha has a great figure for a gal who’s glued to the sofa! Love her upholstery fabric body! Such great texture! 😀

I think you’re on to something. Instead of saying I was a ‘couch potato’ or ‘blog’ I’m now going to be a Flat Martha! It sounds SO much better than being a potato! 🙂 Lovely doll and story – again.

Regardless of what life Martha decided to live I think that she is beautiful. Maybe Martha just simply forgot how beautiful she is. Heartwarming story, Corrine. Thank you for sharing Martha.

I feel a bit sad for her!!! Sounds awful only to be able moving by twisting from side to side…. but she looks also so full of life and maybe she just forgot how to move and feel active and not bored !!
I hope spring helps her LIVE!!
Wonderful story and wonderful Martha , dear Corrine.
    xx

So funny! But I feel like flat Martha after reading Karen’s post at I am Rushmore–her year in review. The woman does not sleep, see can’t.
getting off my sofa now and getting to work,
    Nice post, made me smile!
    xxox,
