Pondering the Fall Fearless and Fly Challenge #6 led me to this page. These are the prompts from Dina Wakely for this challenge.
(Headline Prompt: Divided by God: What does “God” mean to you? How do you access”God” or the divine or the sacred in your life?
Color Prompt: Metallics – gold, silver, copper, bronze, or all of them!
Quote Prompt: “This is my simple religion. There is no need for temples; no need for complicated philosophy. Our own brain, our own heart, is our temple; the philosophy is kindness.” The Dalai Lama )
I had been thinking about how the divine spirit fits into my life and certainly it nourishes me daily in the form of my creative practice which I consider to be a spiritual practice. Creating feeds my soul which keeps me balanced. I access the sacred when I teach because the intuitive practice is about finding the sacred within yourself and I try and create a safe space for my students to nourish themselves. I know too well how I feel when I ignore my inner life for the pressures of the daily grind. Coming back to center, coming back to making with my heart and hands is what leads the way to the divine for me. But I also know and feel deeply that I am blessed with the most marvelous friendships that feed me in a most joyous way, a supportive way, an inspirational way and with humor that makes me laugh out loud. So I created this page as a tribute to spirit, to creative practice as spirit and most of all to each of you friends who feeds me, loves me, trusts me, uplifts me and makes me feel the way I do about you. I see your shining lights. Thank you all.
