Erosion Bundle Reveal and Secret Adventure

By the time I reach Oklahoma…
just kidding, but by the time
you read this post
I will be on my way to a
secret
break out
adventure.

I won’t be back until next Wednesday
so I will share the secret then.

I took down and unburied my erosion
bundles and photographed them knowing
I would not be here tomorrow to do so
on the official 15th.

I had three bundles, one under a log,
which came out sopping wet. This was
the bundle the squirrels were attacking
that I had to move.

Complete with worm!

The second was still hanging in the tree and the squirrels
had been chewing on that, but it was pretty dry inside.

The third was under some salt marsh hay and had developed some
interesting marks that made me think of an herbal tea bag.

No real obvious signs of mold, but some saturation of ink
and water stains that will make for an exciting project of
turning this all into a collage of decay. Here are the insides…

Sopping wet with coffee grounds.

Mostly dry inside the paper bundle.

Ink stained muslin from a book cover board.

I want to thank Kris Henderson from Brain Bubbles
for graciously hosting this project and it will be fun
to see what everyone’s bundle reveal looks like.

See you all next week!

I just started one here in Arizona that I'll leave out for the six plus months we're in Alaska. It will go through wind, desert sun and monsoon season.
It will be interesting to see what you do with your materials.
