Dyptich Complete

I worked to finish the dyptich this weekend to
keep myself busy and not think about Blossom
and it ended up being the best thing I could have

I added more paint, oil crayon and collage
maps and papers for the background and
it was done.

I then played around with just smushing
paint onto printed 12×12 papers just to
keeps moving and it was fun, it made
me happy.

I read this blog
and loved her portraits and she
explained a technique she tried
with the plastic end of an old foam
brush. I used the end of a paint mixing
stick to push the paint around.  It was
strangely freeing, need to do more
of this.

She also took a class from
guess who – Judy.
We did a similar exercise in our journal
class at Squam with Judy too.

Hope you enjoy.

Great piece, Corrine. Love the complimentary color palette and the texture.
