DosCollage And A Rule Or Two

I read Leslie Avon Miller’s post
Friday morning and have been
thinking about rules while
I completed these two collages.

Most of my work lately has been
8×8 inches. I realized that while I
work in rectangles, I don’t like them.
If I have a found frame then I will use
it, but
As a RULE,
I think in squares.
I even like soft squares,
shapes that are like
but squares are for me.

So is it okay to have rules
as long as the rules don’t rule you?

Is it a rule to even think in shapes?

The way we see the world when
we make is individual, so how could
a rule that works for everyone ever apply…

Maybe there is only one rule,
be true to your own soul.

In this instance, I would say being square is to be fabulous……continue.

I like your final rule and follow others when they work with that one ! 😉

I like your squares too – they somehow just suit the play on lines that you are having right now.

I am tired after a busy week and beginning of the weekend…feeling like napping is the rule of the day ! Too bad it is so beautiful out there…off to get lots in some pages and then some zzzzz's…
    Happy Sunday !

Exactly! Be true to your soul. That's when something unique shows through. Love your squares!
