Creative Destruction

“Every act of creation is first an act of destruction”  Pablo Picasso

Today was a totally stinky day, nothing went right, communications flew into cyberspace never to return and I couldn’t even exercise my frustration away, so I decided on a little creative destruction to bring back some balance.  Since I have been working on the 40 Day Creativity Experiment I was really beginning to enjoy my evolving collage and it was feeling quite pretty, at least to me, so it was time to “ruin it early and ruin it often” as my  mentor Chris Zydel would say. The first layer of purple paint covered up the glitter nicely, then a good wipe off onto two other sheets of paper and some white to really mush up most of it.  I am already feeling better….How was your day, was it a beauty, or did you have a stinky day too?

I am sorry you had a stinky day Corrine. If there is anyone that deserves brighter days it’s you. You “mushed” prettily today. I really like it.

My day was good. I did not have to go to paying job, I stayed at home, worked in the yard, played a little frisbee with my dog and did some painting. If I get to paint, it is always good.

Hope your day is a PERFECT one tomorrow!!! xoxo

I’m sorry you had a stinky day. Mine wasn’t stinky, but it wasn’t great either, it was more boring than anything.

I like the way your collage is coming out.

Stinky, might be a too strong word for my day, Corrine-but nothing succeded, nothing was brought to an end, and the small beginnings went all wrong- all this in my work room…… apart from that I had a very quiet day, cheece and fruit,a glass of wine with my husbond- all for dinner-and now my evening is spent here 🙂
Hope you feel better–you was brave to paint over you picture.

Thank goodness for art! What a way to get the grumps out and improve your outlook! I agree your collage was looking pretty… it has depth and luscious layers. Very cool!

I love your impulse to not let tbis page stay too pretty, as you say,I like the rawness of it.
