Our beloved Blossom left us last night
after a long and happy life.

She and I were witness to a probably once
in a lifetime event and I will always remember
her on that night.

We were walking in my neighbor’s pasture
around dusk in early November and we
saw a flock of blackbirds that covered
the sky and flew above us for over
half and hour.  We watched them
together until there was no light left
and then listened to their wings
in the sky in the dark.

I don’t know how many birds were in that
flock, but it had to number in the hundreds
of thousands.

Last night she walked a little with
David and they saw a shooting star

She was our star and she will
be forever missed.

I am so very sorry that you have lost your sweet friend. What a beautiful, exquisite memory you have of that amazing even you both shared. I am sure that will help you go through the process of mourning her loss.

I found you through Kim, our wonderful rock fairy, and I wanted to let you know how sorry I am. We have two dogs and to cats here…two of them rescues. I know how these guys become part of the family and how very hard it is to lose one. You're in my thoughts.
