Art Journal — Fantasy Flowers

Art Journal Journey has a new theme for the month of March – a fantasy scene.  I did a simple drawing of some flowers over collage using a flower stamp from Hero Arts and embellishing it, my own leaf stamp and a small bird stamp I cannot identify.  Since I injured my neck, my time has been limited in the studio, but I wanted to play so I took the simple way out.  I painted out the background, embellished with various markers around the flower and leaves and went on to digitize the photo with an invert filter to make my fantasy flowers.  Fun and I didn’t hurt my neck again, and I got to play.  A perfect solution to my imperfect problem.

Fantasy flowers and birds.

I will be spending time this weekend with a very close friend so I will catch up with you all next week…in the mean time, stay happy, sunny and bright.

I LOVE your fantasy flowers and birds, Corrine. HAHA, I was close to write I love your “buttons” and birds. Somehow your flowers remind me of buttons. Did I mention that I love buttons?
