Art Journal — Drink Coffee, Drink Life

Busy life, drinking a full cup and then some.  With all that is going on with the new house rehab, and work, family and just plain old life, I am really enjoying participating in Mix-It-Monthly’s coffee theme and Art-Journal-journey’s circles theme.  They are the creative prompts needed to keep me going when a quick 10 minutes in the journal is all I can spare at one time.  No thinking, just doing, process, process, process.

Today was a typical Monday.  Quiet morning, then hurry up I needed it last Thursday kind of afternoon.  Dogs in, dogs out, the revolving canine dance.  Sun, clouds, wind, clouds, hot, cool…even the weather was wacky.  So a cup of coffee and some time in the art journal was my take on drinking life…

Join the fun at both challenges, I know I look forward to seeing all the new work each day, and they are up all of May so don’t be shy.  Drink Life and by all means make it light and sweet.

I love coffee – and miss it terribly right now as I am caffeine free – long story

Enjoyed your story about the “e” shortage and making do with “c’s” / necessity is the mother of invention 🙂

    Cheers, kimmie (art in red)

A nice cuppa is perfect for a Monday full of “which way do I go”!! Your collage works perfect for the wackiness and the yellow for the sereneness you feel when drinking it all in! (at least thats how I see it! heehee) xo

Love your cuppa, Corrine! I find that stopping, sometimes just long enough to drink a cup of coffee, gives you the ability to get back to work with renewed energy! OK, sometimes not! I liked starting my Tuesday morning with your art and my own cuppa! Thanks for that! Have a good one,my friend!

Great drawing! And amazing that you can find even 10 minutes to make art in all that’s going on. I try to make something every day, but sometimes it’s just TOO much! You keep me inspired…….
