A Charlie Brown Kind of Christmas Days 5, 6 & 7

The weekend was a mix of rain/snow and sun/cold.  I finished the first major unpacking of the studio and have it cozied up to my liking.  Still more boxes in the barn, but I am letting them sit.  I’ve plenty to do and maybe I don’t need what’s left, we’ll see.  There is always a place to donate if nothing stirs in a month or so.  I’ve now got my work table up and ready.  Wonky storage listing to the left on our 200 year old floors, a paint board easel on the wall and a sewing desk in front of the fireplace that wasn’t with lots of art on the mantel to make me happy.  We’ve even got room for a sit and a coffee and of course a place for doggie naps, the most important consideration.  Here’s a bit of a tour.

It all feels a bit luxurious to me and I am looking forward to speckles of paint hitting that peacock blue floor.  It won’t take long.  That’s one of my Kelly Moore paintings you see when you open the blog.  It’s keep watch and giving me ideas always.

The Advent garland is coming along nicely with days 5, 6, and 7

Now to put some lights on our tiny Christmas tree.  I’m off.  Hope your weekend was a glorious one.

I am loving your new studio, Corrine! I knew when I originally say the blue floor that all too soon it would come alive with other colors as well! Makes me smile to think of it. Loving your evolving garland, my friend!

What a glorious new place for you and your “kids” to have fun in. It looks so clean and ready for you to mess it up (grin).

And of course, your Charlie Brown decorations are coming along nicely. Each is so different, yet each shows what fun they are.

Your banner has a special magic, these three are just my thing.
Your winter bird has quite a look in his eye, love his chenille-type legs and your girl is so sweet with such a lovely face. I like the star too. This would be a fabulous workshop, a banner making workshop.
Loved to see your studio too, so cosy and welcoming and ready for Art.

You’ve made such progress on the house — WOW! And I love how your banner is progressing.
