52 Projects #12

Frustration. You know. The day nothing goes right, feels good, or satisfies you. That was me last Saturday.

To solve the problem, the challenge, I made a “frustration” buddy to remind no me to look up, look out at new possibilities.

I think he suits me just fine. He’s leaning against my journal stack right where he can be useful daily.

The rest of my week was filled with programming meetings at the art center.  Teaching 6-11 year olds in April and May. Such an inspiration. Last month we made treasure maps of our winter yards, wrote a collaborative snow poem and made drawings while listening to zydeco music.

Still I had time for some Collage. Paper weaving.

Big snow on the way for the east coast. Digging out will be our work for the early part of the week. Sigh. Hope you all have a wonderful week.

Frustration or not- you managed to get some wonderful play time in- and what lucky kids to have you as a teacher!

your frustration buddy is perfect! I can just imagine it saying, “Grrrrr! Ahhhh!!”
WE had our first day of 60 degree temps and the hummingbirds showed up today. You dig snow, I’ll feed the hummers.

I think your frustration buddy is wonderful, and I am also wanting to check out those journals he is leaning against. He looks like he is protecting them, too.

Your collage is beautiful. I hope the storm isn’t as bad as they predict, but I’ve been hearing about it from other bloggers for two days, so I guess you expect the worst. Please stay safe and warm.

There are some really lucky kids to have you as a teacher.

He is super! I think I could need such a boy or girl sometimes as well. Shall I make such a helper? – Would be good for me for sure!
Sounds just super with the teaching – have fun with the kids Corinne!
Wishing you that spring appears soon — here it seems that spring will come soon as well!
Makes a much better mood instantly – you will see!

I like this guy and I think he’s perfect many of our frames of mind with this next storm coming. 🙂 or a Monday morning when you are fighting a head cold and have to go out in the cold. Stay warm and dry. Hugs-Erika

Sounds like you could need a little get away, my dear, you have been so very busy, and maybe you need to do something totally different for a day or two, lol.
Your frustration is to be totally felt, when seeing him there ,-to me he say : don`t get nearer ,lol.
Your paper weaving is both revealing and hiding things, but the sun is shining through.
I hope you did not snow in, and if… that you have good shovels, and strong arms…..I so wish you’ some spring now, dear !!

Frustration buddy! What a wonderful idea! You always amaze me at the creative way you attack a problem…with whimsy, humor and a good dose of practicality.

Sounds like you are having a great time with the kids and giving them some wonderful experiences. They need that so much in this day and age.

Hope you are keeping warm and retaining power during this strange winter storm. There certainly is plenty of snow out there.

So good you can express and let it all out with your wonderful creativity!
So it’s still very much Winter your way. It’s March so though I posted an early Spring post full of sunshine, things can change drastically from one day to another in March, it’s crazy March after all! xx

Frustration definitely hits us all at times. Finding something that makes me feel productive helps. I’ve heard about the snow storm coming to the East Coast. Some schools in New York were closing. Hope it doesn’t last long.

Your frustration doll is great, we all need something like him from time to time. Hope you carry on enjoying working with the kiddies, they can be so inspiring. Hugs, Valerie
