52 projects #11

Soft sculpture is calling me because it combines all my creative loves in one package. Painting, collage and stitching. Project #11 is a Totem Heart.

She’s (I think of hearts as women)10″ wide by 18″ long not counting the hanger and the tassel.

The machine stitched fabric nest is stitched on by hand. The tassel is a mix of materials and includes some hand made polymer discs and wooden beads.

While I am feeling the hearts, other ideas are on the fringes of discovery. We shall see what emerges.

Let your creative juices feed your soul. Happy week.

I am in love with your heart. The colors are so subtle, yet mix together so well. And that nest is beyond belief. What an incredible project for this week.

Happy week, Corrine, with this happy and wonderful heart. The added nest is looking fantastic, and I love how you added the cord it is hanging from, to the backside- well I think no front and back, to a heart, only heart !! xx

Your works always have that conceptual edge that I love. The way you combine the physical with the metaphysical, the thing with the idea and do it all seamlessly (yeah, I knew that was going to be a pun) makes it all hold together. The details are what so strike and delight me. Rock on!
