52 Projects #10 and sewing room clean up

The spring cleaning bug hit me like a ton of bricks this weekend. I cleaned my sewing space today. Just finished a few moments ago. But before I share those photos I will show you project #10.

A mix of old and new mounted on a wood board. Moss, Sky and wood. A piece of a 1960’s boucle coat and pieces of a wool skirt are the old, cotton crewel and acrylic yarn are the new. French knots and other hand stitch with some beads. This too will be submitted to the green show.

My ironing board covered work table finally neat and visible. I feel lighter already and since I’ve been hearing red wing blackbirds Spring is surely not far away.

Doll muses and threads on the wall.

Thread nests and ribbon on an old broom stick.

My bulletin board with thing I like. Now to get cracking again and mess it all up!  Happy week all.

LOve your new piece, I would like to be able to feel it! Your room looks good after the clear up, and I especially like that wall stand for the thread spools, great idea. Have a good week, hugs, Valerie

Such exiting hand stitching , and such a cozy room to see. The board with all kind of loved things, your amazing dolls, and the dream catchers,- everything tells a story about you, and your life, dear Corrine. Thank you for a “blink” into your life !!

A fascinating textile, Corrine – a 1960’s boucle coat! I think I remember a blue and white one, not mine.
I always love to tidy my studio, especially when a project is just finished and all can be put away. Love to see these scenes from your studio.

I used to take great pleasure and pride in cleaning up my third-floor “loft” studio every few weeks! That luxury is no longer an option to me as the very limited space in our travel trailer must be straightened up after each activity–no matter how trivial or complex the activity! Where I once had 5 work stations, I now have one. But I am most grateful for that space! Love your burlap project!

You are getting lots of things ready for the green show. I applaud you, because I’m a big fan of recycling, too. It’s a lovely makeover.

What a lovely view you have from your craft room. I’m super impressed and loved seeing details of your crafting space. Beautiful how you incorporate color and texture even though these are all things you will use in your art.
